Familiar landscapes, different atmosphere

The announcement highlights environmental details such as river water, mist over Darkshore and moonlight through Ashenvale’s trees. These are visual enhancements within the original aesthetic, not proof that every modern-WoW feature is being imported. CN visual description

What remains to be checked in the client?

Exact menu names, supported controllers, button layouts, accessibility options and performance on particular hardware have not been tested by this site. This page is an overview, not a benchmark or a setup walkthrough.

For transmog, the general option is announced; this source set does not substantiate every collection, visibility or cross-product rule. Do not assume your modern-WoW wardrobe automatically carries over.

Choosing your settings

Editorial suggestion: start with the visual style you find easiest to read, then compare how important cues look while moving and fighting. A nostalgic preference and readable combat are both legitimate considerations. We will add specific recommendations only after testing.

If you are deciding which version to play, start with Forever vs. Classic.
